NASUBI: A Survival Game Built Around Isolation
NASUBI is a unique psychological horror simulation game that locks you inside a bare room where your sanity and physical survival are pushed to the absolute limit.
In NASUBI, you are trapped naked in an empty apartment with absolutely no personal belongings, no food, and zero human contact. Your sole link to the outside world is an analog rotary phone. The core gameplay forces you to manually dial sweepstakes hotlines out of magazines to win random prizes. To stay alive, you must continuously turn unwanted items into resources to upgrade your room, manage your starvation, and survive the creeping dread of isolation.
Core Gameplay Loop: Dial, Grind, Upgrade
- The Rotary Grind: Progression revolves around interacting with the retro phone. You must manually drag the dial disk numbers to submit contest entries. This repetitive grind is an intentional design choice that perfectly simulates the exhausting monotony of isolation.
- The Recycling Machine: Not all sweepstakes packages are useful. You must take unwanted prize clutter, junk, and card stock and throw them into the room's grinding machine to generate valuable points.
- The Progression System: Survival requires constant optimization. You reinvest your recycled points to buy higher-tier sweepstakes magazines, which gradually unlock better tools, essential food, and critical items to extend your run.
Controls
- WASD Move around the room
- Mouse Look around / Rotate view
- E Interact (Dial phone, open packages, use grinder)
- C Crouch
Tips to Survive Longer
- Recycle Unwanted Items Regularly: Don't let useless prizes pile up in your room. Feed extra items into the recycling machine to earn points, which you can spend on better sweepstakes magazines and more valuable rewards.
- Upgrade Your Sweepstakes Early: Invest your recycling points in higher-tier magazines as soon as possible. Better entries improve the quality of future prizes, giving you a greater chance of receiving useful food and survival items.
- Stay Calm During Panic Events: As hunger and isolation increase, sudden hallucinations and QTE sequences become more frequent. Keep your focus, react quickly, and avoid panicking to preserve your character's sanity and continue the experiment.
