Gameplay Mechanic: Slide → Connect → Merge → Explode

The rules are deliciously simple

• Swipe anywhere on the screen in one of eight directions
• All tiles slide in that direction until they hit the wall or another tile
• When two or more identical numbers touch in a straight line(horizontal, vertical, or diagonal), they instantly merge into the next multiple (2 → 4 → 8 → 16 → …).
• Every tile in a connected chain merges at once, awarding massive bonus points for longer chains.
• After the merge, empty spaces appear and new tiles drop in randomly—your next move starts immediately.

The magic happens in the chain reactions. One perfect slide can link 5–10+ tiles across the board, evolving multiple numbers at the same time and clearing huge chunks of space.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Focusing only on one corner or side → the rest of the board fills with mismatched numbers.
• Ignoring the “next tile” preview → you merge beautifully but the new tile lands exactly where you needed space.
• Blocking diagonal paths with careless slides → suddenly half your possible chains disappear.
• Underestimating chain length → merging two 32s separately instead of setting up a 5-tile chain that would have created a 1024.
