Granny 1.8 is a 3D first-person survival horror game where you must escape a locked, multi-story house within five days. Surviving requires navigating dark rooms, solving interlocking item puzzles, and avoiding the sound-sensitive antagonist who investigates every noise you make.
Audio Detection & Stealth Survival
Stealth is your primary defense against Granny. Dropping items or stepping on creaky floorboards emits sound cues that direct her immediately to your location. When she approaches, you can duck into wardrobes, hide inside coffins, or crouch under beds. However, if she sees you entering a spot, hiding will not protect you.
Version 1.8 expands the threat underground with the Spider Cellar, introducing the terrifying Spider Mom enemy alongside bear traps and other hazards scattered through the darkness. You can find weapons to temporarily defend yourself against house inhabitants, but managing your daily attempts remains essential.

- WASD: Move character
- C: Crouch to tread quietly
- E: Use / Interact with doors and puzzle items
- R: Hide in wardrobes, coffins, or beds
- Spacebar: Drop currently held item
Branching Escape Routes
Escaping before your five days expire requires gathering specific tools to unlock one of three exit paths
- Main Door: Unbolt multiple locks using keys and items hidden throughout the house
- Garage Car: Repair and start the car downstairs, then open the garage door to drive out
- Escape Pipe: Navigate through the Spider Cellar to access the underground drainage pipe exit
