In Miner: Drilling, every trip underground is a gamble. Drill through blocks to collect valuable ore, but keep an eye on your oxygen and drill temperature. The deeper you explore, the better the potential rewards, so knowing when to push forward and when to leave is key to a successful run.

Drill for Ore and Manage Your Supplies

Each descent takes you into a procedurally generated mine, with different layouts and resource locations to discover. Move into a block to start drilling automatically, collect ore, and look for sparkling deposits. Glowing blocks are harder to break but offer bigger rewards, making them tempting targets when your supplies are limited.

Two hazards can end your expedition: running out of oxygen or overheating your drill. Watch your remaining oxygen and the heat meter above your character. Let the drill cool down when necessary, and consider whether a valuable block is worth the extra time and resources it takes to break.

Collect gold, manage oxygen and heat, and upgrade your equipment between runs to improve your next descent.

Upgrade Your Mining Equipment

Gold collected during a run funds upgrades for future expeditions. Improve your drilling power, oxygen tank, cooling system, vision range, and ore quality to make deeper exploration more manageable. You can also discover bonus blocks, cards, and hidden upgrades. Red sparkles indicate an upgrade hidden in the area, according to the game instructions.

Rather than drilling through every block, focus on reaching deeper layers efficiently while watching your supplies. Better equipment helps you stay underground longer and pursue richer deposits, but each run still requires careful decisions about how much risk to take.
