Snake Peaceful Mode

Snake Peaceful Mode removes the usual punishment for crashing into things. Instead of ending the round when your snake reaches the board edge or its own body, it simply stops and waits for you to choose an open direction. Eat apples, grow longer, and see how far you can go without getting boxed in.

A Snake Game Without the Crashes

The goal is to keep eating apples while maintaining enough space for the snake to move. When the cell ahead is blocked by the edge or your own body, the snake pauses rather than dying. Turn toward an open cell and it continues moving.

There is still a way to end the round. If every cell beside the snake's head is blocked, the snake is completely boxed in and the round ends. You can also stop at any time with the End button.

For longer runs, sweeping the board in rows can help keep an escape route available. A large board also gives you more room to build a long snake.

How to Play

Press arrow keys or WASD to start on the desktop. On phones and tablets, swipe to control the snake.

Peaceful Mode can be customized with 13 fruits or a mix, 1, 3, or 5 apples or lots of them, slow, normal, or fast speed, and small, medium, or large boards. Choose from 11 snake colors, including rainbow, and six board themes. Shuffle creates a random combination.

Your best score is saved separately for each combination of mode, apples, speed, and board size in your browser.
