In Dino Game: Tides, you control a running dinosaur, jump over obstacles, and build up your score. Your T-Rex starts on dry land but will soon dive beneath the waves. The path keeps changing—plains turn into hills, deserts, and mountains, then full underwater sections filled with coral, anchors, and sea urchins. Speed rises the farther you go, so every jump and shot matters if you want a new distance record.
The dinosaur runs forward on its own. On land you clear rocks, bones, and desert plants with well-timed jumps (hold the button for extra height). When the track dips underwater the feel shifts: jumps become higher and slower, forcing you to adjust your rhythm. Flying threats can sometimes be avoided simply by staying low. Glowing fruit appears along the route and activates helpful power-ups when collected.

Every run along the beach can earn you shells for better equipment. The shells you earn can unlock throwable weapons, improve your abilities, and add accessories to your dinosaur.
The Shop offers six weapons with different effects. The Pebble Sling breaks the first ground obstacle, while the Bone Axe can also hit flying dactyls. The Lava Pot clears obstacles within its blast radius, and the Tusk Boomerang hits twice as it travels out and returns. For wider attacks, the Ember Horn clears obstacles within two tiles, while the Thunder Egg removes every obstacle currently on screen at the cost of two shots.
You can also invest shells in four upgrades: Power Time extends power-up duration, Max Ammo adds ammunition capacity, Ammo Drops increases ammo crate frequency, and Shell Finder improves shell earnings. Cosmetic options include headwear and face accessories.
