Snake Light Mode

Snake Light Mode challenges your spatial memory by turning off the lights in the snake games arena. While standard rules apply, only a small circular spotlight around your snake's head and the outer frame stay visible, forcing you to track where your dark tail extends.

Pitch-Black Navigation

Fruit targets glow brightly across the pitch-black grid, serving as beacons to guide your route. However, body segments more than a few cells away from your head fade completely into darkness.

Because unseen tail segments remain solid, running into your hidden body or the outer board frame immediately ends the match. Navigating successfully requires moving in simple straight lines or wide loops to keep a mental map of your trailing path.

FAQs

Is Snake Light Mode different from classic Snake?

The basic rules are the same. You eat apples to grow and must avoid the board edges and your own body. The main difference is that most of the board and snake are hidden in darkness.

Can I see the apples in the dark?

Yes. Apples glow, so you can see where they are even when they are outside the light around your snake's head.

How can I avoid hitting my hidden snake body?

Remember the path your snake has taken and use simple routes such as straight lines and wide loops. The visible board frame can also help you judge when to turn.

Can I change the difficulty in Light Mode?

Yes. You can choose slow, normal, or fast speed and use small, medium, or large boards.
