Light and Dark Survival Mechanics

At the heart of Light and Dark are inverse survival rules that completely change how each character interacts with the environment. What is safe for one slime may be deadly for another, forcing players to constantly adapt their approach.

The Inverse Survival Rules

Black Slime: Safe in shadows and dark areas; direct light causes instant death.
White Slime: Safe in illuminated areas; darkness immediately consumes the slime.

Every level is designed around these opposing mechanics.

Reaching the exit requires navigating hazards while respecting your slime's elemental weakness.

Three Distinct Ways to Play

Light and Dark features three campaigns, each offering a different perspective on the game's unique mechanics.

Solo Mode (Black Slime Campaign Strategy): focuses on navigating environments filled with dangerous light sources.
Solo Mode (White Slime Campaign Strategy): flips the formula by making darkness the primary threat.
Co-op Campaign (Synchronized Puzzle Solving): combines both slimes into a single challenge. Players must work together to overcome obstacles that neither character could clear alone.
